Meet Macy Schilling: Bringing Wedding Visions to Life
As the Founder and Director of Schilling Wedding Planning, Macy Schilling has built her business around helping couples enjoy the planning process while creating celebrations that authentically reflect their personalities and love stories.
Certified through the Wedding Planning Institute at George Mason University, Macy has planned more than 200 weddings and brings experience from nearly every aspect of the wedding industry—from catering and florals to photography and event design. Her comprehensive understanding of weddings allows her to guide couples through the planning process with confidence and ease.
From Bride to Wedding Planner
Macy’s journey into wedding planning began while planning her own wedding. Friends and family quickly noticed her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to keep everything running smoothly. Before long, engaged couples began asking for her help with their own weddings.
What started as a passion project soon became a thriving business. Macy discovered how rewarding it was to help couples create one of the most meaningful days of their lives, and Schilling Wedding Planning was born.
As her business continued to grow, so did her vision for serving couples. In 2025, Macy and her husband, Cory, purchased 48 Fields, a picturesque wedding venue nestled near Lucketts, Virginia. Surrounded by rolling countryside and wildflower fields, the beautifully restored barn venue offers couples a scenic setting to celebrate weddings and special events in the heart of Loudoun County.
The property is also home to Loudoun Cider House, where the couple crafts and serves their own hard cider, giving guests another uniquely local experience to enjoy during weddings and events. Owning both a planning company and a wedding venue allows Macy to offer couples a well-rounded perspective on the planning process, drawing from firsthand experience on both sides of the celebration.

For Macy, her greatest source of inspiration is her clients. She loves when couples bring unique ideas to the table and trust her to think creatively, push boundaries, and design celebrations that feel truly personal.

Life Beyond Weddings
Outside of wedding weekends and planning meetings, Macy enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband stay busy with their energetic six-year-old son, sweet almost two-year-old daughter, a dachshund name Chloe, and a retired racing greyhound named Stella.
Family life keeps her on her toes, but it’s also a constant reminder of the importance of celebrating life’s most meaningful moments—something she brings into every wedding she plans.
